Originally exhibited in a hand-carved frame designed by Mark Ehrhardt and carved by Richard E. Reimers, made of poplar wood and gold paint, commissioned by Madeleine Mathiot. Several years after the acquisition, Catherine Parker asked that her painting be reframed because she thought the frame overpowered the painting.
Only the empty frame was exhibited in From Another Realm in 2010.
