The Fredtown Stompers are a popular musical act that plays hot jazz, concentrating on old school charts, especially songs heard between 1910 and 1930.
Kickin' and pickin' New Orleans-style are Peter Isaac - trombone and vocals, Sean Ebert - trumpet and vocals, Melissa Sauers - clarinet and vocals, Mike McGough - piano, Drew Azzinaro - guitar, Brian McKenna - drums, and Anthony Henry III - bass.
The band started in 2006 when some students at Fredonia State College gathered together to play Dixieland to entertain their friends. Graduation and diverse roads traveled meant the Stompers had to re-group and add musicians from the great pool of talent in Western New York. Fully professional and based in Buffalo, the lively and entertaining Fredtown Stompers are a seven-person ensemble that's in huge demand throughout the region and across the state.
