Streets of Art is a short film documenting the launch of the Allen St. Street Art Collective, a public arts project in the Allentown District of Buffalo, N.Y. The film was curated by businessman and historian Mark Goldman. Streets of Art is the story of an innovative public arts project designed for the masses, with a goal to engage the community at large, and enhance the neighborhood by using public art as a tool for place making.
The first phase of the Allen St. Street Art Collective (#ASSACollective) combines the art genres of graffiti, street art, graphic design and photography. Artists featured in the film are Ian De Beer, David "CHINO" Villorente, Rust Belt Division, Chow Monstro, Max Collins, Septerhed, Patrick Gallo and Julian Montague. The Allen St. Street Art Collective is dedicated to Mark's Goldman's late brother, Tony Goldman, real estate visionary and urban placemaker.
Filmmaker Nate Peracciny says "Streets of Art is a story about two things things I am very passionate about my neighborhood of Allentown and innovative thinking. This is Allentown as I see it."
