Guidelines and instructions for artists
The Burchfield Penney Art Center’s curatorial team operates on a basis of collective insights for the review of exhibition proposals. This means that the team reviews works as they are presented and collectively considers the aesthetic value of the work as it fits into our exhibition program. We keep records of artists’ materials in our archive, which allows us to review work at future times if the work does not fit into our program at the time of review.
To submit work, information regarding artwork should be emailed to BPACexhibitions@buffalostate.edu.
The email should include:
- Image(s) as examples of artist practice (including medium and size) in jpg, tif or pdf format
- Your relationship to Western New York
- Your resume (pdf)

If necessary, all materials can be mailed to:

at Buffalo State College

If you are a curator wishing to propose a curatorial project, please follow the instructions above, with the addition of an abstract explaining the exhibition premise.
