All day [working] intensively on the “North Woods in Spring.”
In it I am coming closer to the realization of the theme of North in woods. But I doubt if I will ever be satisfied; and will always be searching [for] the ultimate statement. It is better so. The search for a truth is better than the realization. North is an arbitrary term – It is the Pole that my imagination yearns for –
