Janet W. Warner

Janet W. (Wendy) Warner is a watercolorist who was born in 1926 and studied at Sarah Lawrence College. She also studied under Robert Blair for several years alongside fellow painter Estelle Lutz. Her subject matter mainly includes impressionistic landscapes using the transparent watercolor method. She has held many exhibitions throughout the area including the Burchfield Penney, in which she is part of the permanent collection. Others include the Kenan Center in Lockport, the Anderson Gallery, and the Albright Knox. National juried exhibitions include the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, and Washington Watercolor Club at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.
