"Rena Reisman is a visual artist whose intricate mixed media collages, and timeless natural abstractions have hung in many solo exhibitions and many juried shows and group exhibitions. Her works are well represented in a number of private and corporate collections. Rena’s works have been exhibited in many states, in Western New York at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, the Castellani Art Museum, the Anderson Gallery, Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center, Chautauqua Center for The Visual Arts, Big Orbit Gallery and others.
For many years she has been recognized for her abstract naturalistic landscapes. She seeks to capture the feeling, spirit, and memories of a place. Some of her works are impressions of an imaginary place taken from her own visual experiences. In more recent years her focus has centered on collage. She has always been fascinated by colors , and shapes and these works combine painting , intricate drawing and mixed media. Ms. Reisman sees similarities between the layering that takes place in painting on canvas and the layering process of creating collage. She draws from her travels, her love of Native American art , and Middle Eastern Influences. Her works reflect her own personal spiritual journey." (Reisman)
