Joshua R. Marks (b.1970)

Joshua Marks’ humorous work, Executive Hopscotch, (1998-99) spoofs the contradiction between memories of lost childhood and corporate acquisitiveness.  While beautiful, this hand-crafted, highly polished, expensive commodity sadly cannot recapture the innocent joy of a simple child’s game temporarily drawn in chalk on a sidewalk.
