Evening Harold R. – called & wanted to bring a Miss Sipprell over tomorrow morning, – she wants to photograph me. I declared I would not be photographed in “my present conditions” but H argued & argued & finally it was left that they should drop by at 10:30 to say hello, and if I did not want to be photographed it would be O.K.
Nov. 2 – Sun.
With Harold & Miss S. came also Mr. & Mrs. Pitt Petri — & another lady — Miss Sipprell so warmly human & charming I felt I would have to yield – Privately I said to Bertha “She’s so nice how can I refuse?” and she said that’s the way she felt too.
So arrangements were made. Bertha brought in “Wind Harp in the Woods (1956) which was set up for a back drop, and also a few brushes — Miss S. took about a dozen exposures – talking to me the while, so that it was not the chore I had expected —
Afterwards, Bertha took them for a visit to the studio – all of them charming people. After they left, Bertha said Miss S wants to buy “Song of the Bluebird” — Mrs. Petri was to call L& find out the price.
