A screening of works by artists participating in a new Burchfield Penney collaboration with Alfred's IEA is presented in collaboration with Squeaky Wheel Buffalo Media Resources.
Snapshots of Our Video Terrain is a celebration of the Burchfield Penney Art Center’s Launch of the Electronic Arts Alliance and an expansion of the Center’s dedication to media art. Curated by Jax Deluca, Director of Squeaky Wheel; Brian Milbrand of Buffalo State; and Don Metz Associate Director at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, this screening presents the work by the faculties of the Institute of Electronic Art and Buffalo State, as well as work by alumni of the IEA and some of the future participants in our media presentations.
From the Institute of Electronic Art we present the work of Peer Bode, Andrew Deutsch, Devin Henry, Joseph Scheer, Barbara Lattanzi , and a live video performance by IEA alumni Jason & Deborah Bernagozzi. From the faculty of Buffalo State, we are presenting the work of Dorthea Braemer, Meg Knowles and Brian Milbrand.
Residence of the Institute of Electronic Art and future artists of Burchfield’s media programs include Stephen Vitello, Steina Vasulka, Jax Deluca, Carl Lee and a live video performance by Tammy McGovern.
