"A walk through an exhibition with a docent can connect people to works in a personal and meaningful way,” said Mary Kozub, museum education and tour manager. “A docent can communicate universal themes of our shared humanity, love of family, pride in work, fairness, justice, joy in nature and that endless search for something larger than ourselves.”
The natural storytellers that they are, Docents help visitors see that the works o display are still alive. Kozub said, “Their knowledge inspires us to appreciate how art has been collected, labeled, displayed, and should be celebrated.”
