Visual Voice invites adults who are sight-impaired into discovery, inquiry, and discussion with artworks exhibited in the galleries at the Burchfield Penney Art Center. Detailed, expressive verbal descriptions and soundings translate visual information into language, enabling listeners to create vivid mental visualizations. As the process is revealed, each individual is encouraged to form opinions and share in a meaningful collaborative discussion of the described artworks.
No previous experience or knowledge of art is required.
