Doug Yeomans is recognized as one the most prolific guitarists to come out of Buffalo. He’s well known across the country for his taste, diversity, chops and ability to add to any musical situation whether it’s R&R, R&B, Country, Bluegrass, or Blues. He honed his musical chops in Buffalo NY with the likes of the great R&R pianist Stan Szelest and has shared stages with Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, Paul Butterfield, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel and many others. He has toured across the country with the Broadway shows It Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues, Ring of Fire, Always Patsy Cline. He performs locally with the R&R band Lo Blu Flame, leads the Mountain Run Bluegrass Band, is half of the acoustic duo with vocalist Sue Kincaid, plays Solo shows, and teaches privately.

The Skiffle Minstrels is a dance band that plays at festivals, weddings and parties; in honky-tonks, dance halls and clubs. The band plays Country, Western Swing & Original Tunes designed for two stepping, lindy hopping, texas waltzing & country shuffling. They have won awards in categories ranging from Best Country Band to Best Genre-Defying Act.
The band has earned festival bookings at the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, Great Blue Heron Music Festival (Sherman, NY), Edinboro Art and Music Festival (Edinboro, PA), The Dam Show (Austin, PA), Bayou and Boogie Festival (Rehoboth, MA), Lilac Festival (Rochester, NY), and many more. The Skiffle Minstrels love to play anywhere people are dancing--and wherever they play, people WILL be dancing!
7:30 pm Rear View Ramblers
Rear View Ramblers balances the tradition of bluegrass and folk music with the spirit of growing up in the Queen City. It doesn't take long to hear the connections to their hometown. From struggling days being young and broke, to playing music in Allentown and the Elmwood Village, or finding true love in a dive bar on the most random occasions, their music is an honest depiction of being young and desperately seeking happiness in a city known for hard times. After spending several years playing with the Alt-Country band The CPX, songwriters Katie (Panfil) Clark and Andrew J. Reimers set out to create a more stripped down sound, a sound authentic enough to be enjoyed by even the most loyal bluegrass fans yet inoffensive to the ears of a younger generation who are just beginning to explore the genre. Rear View Ramblers is releasing their Debut EP, "Buffalo Americana" 8/17 at Larkin Square.
