"EPC @ 20" is presented by the Electronic Poetry Center with the support of UB Media Study, the Dept. of English, UB Poetics / David Gray Chair, Dennis Tedlock / McNulty Chair, Bruce Jackson / James Agee Chair in American Culture, UB Romance Languages & Literatures, & the UB Humanities Institute . In collaboration with UB Theatre & Dance, the UB Center for the Arts, and the Burchfield Penney Art Center, Buffalo.
It's been twenty 20 years for the Electronic Poetry Center: two decades as humans -- a century in Net terms! The EPC's 20th anniversary celebration is going to take place Sept. 11-12, 2014 in Buffalo, New York. This is certainly a milestone for us! We are thrilled at the venues. Afternoon talks at legendary UB Media Study Department & evening performances at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, an impressive museum with its wonderful theatre & massive courtyard screen!

September 11 and 12, EPC@20 consists of afternoon talks (1-5 at UB) and evening performances (7-10 pm at the Burchfield Penney) each day. Astonishing new vistas are offered, collective spirit is yours. Admission is free.

Participants include Charles Bernstein, cris cheek, Tony Conrad, Loss Pequeño Glazier, Steve McCaffery, Myung Mi Kim, Tammy McGovern, Joan Retallack, Laura Shackelford, Danny Snelson, Dennis Tedlock, Cecilia Vicuña, Elizabeth Willis, & Wooden Cities with Ethan Hayden, in a dazzling array of stellar talks, performances, and conversation. Modes of writing, digital, performance, and cultural vision interlace in linkages of exhilaration!

With special exhibitions: "Abra" (Amaranth Borsuk, Kate Durbin & Ian Hatcher); Pry: iPad-based Novella (Samantha Gorman & Danny Cannizzaro); "Enter:in' Wodies" (Zuzana Husárová & Lubomír Panák).

We are certain this extraordinary group will present engaging afternoon talks and terrific performances, making EPC@20 a special, historic event! The only way this celebration could be better is if you can be here!
