The Concertina All Stars were organized in October 1997 as a “Club” with the unique sound of 8 concertinas, drums, trumpet and bass, consisting of all Buffalo NY musicians. In 2004, the Concertina All Stars moved from club to band, featuring the old time sound of 3 concertinas, accordion, trumpet, clarinet & sax, drums and bass. The Concertina All Stars have enjoyed playing numerous festivals throughout the country, even traveling abroad to perform in Europe.
They feature their own style of honky music played from the heart and their enjoyment is shown on stage as they entertain polka music lovers. To date they have released 2 CDs on the Sunshine label and are currently working on their third project!
On Thursday September 12, 2013, between 5:30 and 7:30 pm, for your listening and dancing pleasure, select members of the Concertina All Stars will perform during the Happy Hour at the Burchfield Penney Art Center.
