Frank Lloyd Wright: (Not) Forgotten Views

On View Friday, June 11–Friday, December 10, 2004

Mayor’s Conference Room, Room 209, Buffalo City Hall, June 11-December 10, 2004

These photographs of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House in Buffalo, taken in 1959 by Victor Shanchuk Jr., are rare documentation of the now demolished portions of the complex. They were exhibited with the Burchfield Penney’s exhibition Frank Lloyd Wright: Windows of the Darwin D. Martin House. Shanchuk, a graduate of Buffalo State College, photography teacher and longtime volunteer at the Burchfield Penney, has photographed Buffalo architecture for nearly 50 years.
