In the Archives Looking for Charles Cary Rumsey, Part 2

Monday, June 2, 2014

Lots and lots of boxes of photos of CCR's art work. The subjects include: animals, equestrian works (not to be confused with his polo playing), female figures, male figures, fountains, public works, and memorials.

19 boxes of goodies include papers related to him, garden wall photos, oversize photos of gargoyle heads, horse relief, Pelham Bay frieze, and the wave (who knew he followed the Sabres.....oh not THAT wave. Well, he did play ice hockey for Nichols and Harvard).

When not time traveling, working out, or hanging out at the Burchfield Penney, Mary Beth Parrinello is the religion teacher in the Montessori program at Nardin Academy in Buffalo, N.Y. She also volunteers her time at Westminster Presbytarian Church, C.G. Jung Center, and Junior League of Buffalo, which was founded by Mary Harriman Rumsey, Charles Cary Rumsey's wife!
