To look at “Genesee St. Bldg.” – I realize it is almost time to get to work on this picture – make a few studies.

In the market, in the meat section, a drunk man scarcely able to walk, he started haranguing the world in general – his “words” were merely strange, hideous sounds, without meaning.

The various merchants all around, took up his challenge and started yelling at him, which only increased his frenzy – Soon the din was terrific, someone struck a bell loudly at intervals – I went away sick and ashamed of human beings.
