March 26 – Thursday –
Colder, rain turning to snow – almost gale force winds.
Bertha was so tired and depressed I suggested we go to the Lodge for lunch.
In studio: got out the North Wind in March and studied it – it seemed awkward in composition, and in need of some more sky – I plan to increase it from 42 x 57 to 48 x 60, cutting 2” off the bottom.
Evening to Communion service – Bad driving the roads “glassy” with ice, and in places blizzard like snow. It was exciting to be out in.
