A dream of hearing a wood-thrush in a tangle of saplings by a road. Suddenly I caught sight of him, and as he flitted along, he kept growing larger & larger until he became a wild turkey, when he wheeled and flew off into the sky, growing ever larger & larger and more gorgeous in color. The wood-thrush song persisted & grew ever louder, until all at once I awoke, to hear him indeed singing outside my window.
