Dream – On a river boat that ferries between two points on river. A sort of maiden trip. Seemed as if another man and I were sort of honor guests. Captain has a new outfit for taking talking pictures – he wants my companion and I to pose. My companion is to fry griddle-cakes, which he does. I am to eat pork and beans. When I start I make as much noise as possible with knife and fork so it will register. When I ask Captain, “how can I make sound doing this?” He: Suppose you say “I swear to eat nothing but pork and beans the rest of my natural life” and I did, feeling very embarrassed.
