On these moist sultry midmornings I wake to hear the wren singing in the arbor —.
The robins are entering on their second courting since the first brood is full grown, and at any time of the day but chiefly at sunset they fill the air with song —
Everywhere & at every time I am reminded of the romantic spring that is gone.
