A “do-less” day – hot and humid – fussing around in studio – Eventually I did accomplish a little – put in, in charcoal, a tentative suggestion for the “mirage” in “Drought Sun”
Evening – had the grandchildren over to spend the night so M & H could have an evening out – After supper drive down to take a gift to the Marcus Pratts’ new baby – Mrs. Bancroft & Harriet there – a pleasant visit – M. showed me over his new house still “in process” – it is well planned and will be cozy and attractive when done. Sitting out in the yard, after sun–down – a cool breeze – cold drinks. Home at last twilight – Storm to far north – faint pink flashes of lightening –
