A Town Hall meeting for candidates running for Buffalo mayor begins at 12:30 p.m. today.
All three candidates – Mayor Byron Brown, Erie County Legislator Betty Jean Grant and City Comptroller Mark Schroeder – were invited to take questions from the community, and so far Grant and Schroeder have confirmed their attendance.
The information session will be held at the Northwest Community Center located at 155 Lawn Ave.
Then on Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m., the Buffalo Association of Black Journalists is hosting a mayoral debate at the Burchfield Penney Art Center.
Brown, Grant and Schroeder will field questions on critical issues ranging from education and economic development to workforce diversity and making sure all segments of the city share in Buffalo’s growth.
Channel 4’s Al Vaughters will moderate the debate.
Burchfield Penney is located at 1300 Elmwood Ave.
And in case you missed it, a recent Siena poll puts Brown ahead of his opponents.
