Cold day with fleets of dapply clouds.  At noon – sun partially obscured – north sky full of big blue holes.  The north sides of houses was cold blueish – the west very warm – yellow, the east also warm but more neutral –

((The cold blue light is chastely beautiful but it falls on evil or hideous things, producing a wonderful contrast))

At the end of the grey afternoon the red sunlight came out & lit up the strange factories – Beautiful white train smoke –

((Small buildings of factories bristle in the black dusk))
