Thoughts enroute (sic):
The stump picture. The stump burning reds & hot yellows & browns in hot august sunshine –
The burnt pasture grass in foreground put in with a few sweeping strokes –
The cows a pattern of black & white spots –
Beyond the vast mystical north sky of august - (purple blue) with odd shaped clouds floating lazily –
add lichens of last summers sketch
