Tuesday, June 3, 2014
LAUGHING LONG – It was 1998 when the Eclectic Improv Company debuted its unscripted zaniness in Bobby Militello’s Tralfamadore Cafe. Now, after holding forth in a monthly show for many years in the nearby Shea’s Smith Theater, the group has reached a milestone.
Its 500th performance comes at 8 p.m. Friday in the Tower Auditorium at Burchfield Penney Art Center, 1300 Elmwood Ave. Four of the founding members – Todd Benzin, Peter Cumbo, Don Gervasi and John Freuzer – are still on board. Newly added to fill in on piano is Joe Donahue of the Albrights. Tickets are $15 at the door. For info, call 901-6086 or visitwww.eclecticimprov.com.
