February M&T Second Friday Celebrates the Opening of New Exhibitions
Friday, February 8 from 5:30-8:00 p.m.
The Burchfield Penney celebrates the opening of three new exhibitions as part of February’s M&T Second Friday: Being There: Bruce Jackson Photographs 1962-2012 in the East Gallery, Suspended Motion: Watercolors and Sculptures by Ellen Steinfeld in the Charles Cary Rumsey and Sylvia L. Rosen Galleries and Selected Artists from Arts Work in the Community Gallery. The evening also includes a drop-in art workshop and open galleries until 8pm.

 

Classes and Talks are Part of the International Center for Watercolor
The International Center for Watercolor at the Burchfield Penney is an initiative built upon the Center’s dedication to the medium of watercolor. The Burchfield Penney hosts a watercolor lecture series, workshops and demonstrations by renowned regional and national artists, educators and critics to expose the community-at-large to the scope of this very important and popular medium. Warm Up This Winter with Events in the Galleries
Join us at the museum for a Gallery Talk on Charles Burchfield's Grain Elevators (1932-38) on February 10 presented by Burchfield Penney docents. Two six-week yoga sessions with instructors Leanne Oldenbrook and Jennifer Russo resume in mid-February. Three sessions of figure drawing sessions begin on February 21 (also held on March 21 and April 18).
