Discover Burchfield's Ohio Roots with the Burchfield Penney

Join the Burchfield Penney on a two-day excursion to visit the scenes of Charles E. Burchfield’s youth, from his birthplace in Ashtabula to his childhood playground. With the Burchfield Penney staff as your guide, we’ll make stops at local restaurants and markets en route to our final destination, the Cleveland Museum of Art, where we’ll tour the expressive exhibition Charles E. Burchfield: The Ohio Landscapes, 1915–1920.

Gather at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, where we’ll depart by luxury coach at 8:30 am. Once in Ohio, we’ll stop in Ashtabula, Burchfield’s birthplace, for lunch at Briquettes Smokehouse, explore Leetonia Beehive Coke Ovens Park, and visit Burchfield Homestead Society & Museum before making our way into the city for dinner in Little Italy at Mia Bella. Overnight accommodations will be provided at the Crowne Plaza at Playhouse Square in the Theater District.

Start the day off right with breakfast and shopping at Cleveland’s West Side Market before heading to the Cleveland Museum of Art to tour Charles E. Burchfield: The Ohio Landscapes, 1915–1920, with ample time to explore the galleries and grab a bite to eat at the museum café. Then we’ll get on the road back to Buffalo, grabbing dinner at Old Mill Winery in Geneva, Ohio, en route.

Space is limited.

An individual trip ticket is $325 (double occupancy) and includes attraction admission, transportation, most meals, and lodging.

A down payment of $100 per person by March 4 will confirm your reservation.
