M&T SECOND FRIDAYS AT THE BURCHFIELD PENNEY
Friday, May 11 from 4 - 8:30 pm
Every M&T Second Friday, the Burchfield Penney offers free gallery hours after 4 pm as well as other special events and activities. May M&T Second Friday includes celebrating the opening of the Artists Among Us in the East Gallery and Project Space, Secret Spaces in the Useum, A Community of Steel in the Community Gallery and Steel: The Art of Experience and Impressions in the Collection Study Gallery. In addition, guests are invited to enjoy the Message in a Bottle Project, a drop-in workshop in the Studio Classroom and an all ages Scavenger Hunt of Artists Among Us in the galleries.
THE GRAYCLIFF LECTURE SERIES WELCOMES DR. CHARLES BEVERIDGE AND CHARLES BIRNBAUM
The lectures are on May 9 and May 23 at the Burchfield Penney
On Wednesday, May 9 at 7 pm, the Burchfield Penney and Graycliff welcome Dr. Charles Beveridge, editor of The Papers of Frederick Law Olmsted and the author of Frederick Law Olmsted: Designing the American Landscape. He is an authority on the life and work of Frederick Law Olmsted.
Charles Birnbaum, FASLA, FAAR, will speak at the Burchfield Penney on Wednesday, May 23. He is the Founder and President of The Cultural Landscape Foundation in Washington, DC and an expert on landscape preservation and urban design.
Admission is $5 for Burchfield Penney and Graycliff members and $10 for "not yet" members.
