The Front Yard Turns On Forever. October 18 at Sunset

Join us at 5:30 pm on Friday, October 18 in the Front Yard at the Burchfield Penney for a Community Street Party celebrating the unveiling of this one-of-a-kind gallery experience. The festivities include a live, musical performance by DME led by Tomás Henriques, and then at sunset (approximately 6:28 pm) the trio of projection towers turns on forever! Art in Craft Media 2013 Opens on Saturday, October 12, 6-8pm

In 1988, the incomparable Sylvia L. Rosen and her late husband Nathan created the Sylvia L. Rosen Endowment for Fine Art in Craft Media, starting the biennial exhibition Art in Craft Media. Twenty five years later, more than 400 artists working in wood, clay, fiber, glass, and metal have been part of this groundbreaking exhibition series.

October M&T Second Friday
Friday, October 11 from 5:30 pm

An opening celebration for Anna Scime's Spore Print Film Series, a drop in art workshop, and happy hour with music by Samuel Marabella Quartet are all part of M&T Second Friday,  5:30-7:30pm. A professional development workshop is hosted by Kathy Shiroki on Thursday, October 17. The cost is $30 for Burchfield Penney members/$40 for "not yet" members. Hidden Ireland is a free series of 20 films about Ireland from the archives of the Irish Film Institute on October 18-19. Friday's program features remarks by Tony Donoghue at 7pm.
