Cruise to the Burchfield Penney to celebrate an evening of oldies music, then head inside at 7pm for a lecture by director Tony Bannon on Buffalo native George “The Hound Dog” Lorenz (1919-1972), regarded as one of the most important pioneer rock and roll disc jockeys in the history of American broadcasting. In the mid-1950s, his show was carried over the 50,000-watt giant WKBW and was heard across 13 states and Canada.
At 8:30 pm, sit back in your vintage car, or bring a chair and relax and enjoy the film Rebel without a Cause under the stars.
