The hot day developed into a terrific thunderstorm at end of day – Tremendous dusty calm
Red poplar catkins against the black sky, white light from south; breaks suddenly a cloud burst, rain sweeps in waves down the street – sheet rhythms in the sky against clouds rhythms at even sky turns mustard; grows more & finally sun like a metallic blue archlight appears – big rain [CD] & looming yellow houses golden streets glittering rain – vivid lighting turns black trees against sun to vivid blue white –
