Help us serve the community
The Burchfield Penney Art Center is best served by the active participation of individuals from throughout the Western New York community. Our volunteers - many of whom are artists and all who are art lovers - represent an extremely valuable resource for the museum, the staff and everyone who visits the Burchfield Penney. The museum accepts and encourages volunteers to assist with a variety of activities within the museum.
Volunteer placement is subject to position and space availability. Positions include but are not limited to:
- Administrative support
- Museum greeters
- Special events
- Museum Store assistance
- Curatorial and archival assistance
- Educational programs
- Committee involvement
Volunteers are recruited with the intent of broadening and expanding volunteer involvement in the museum, and without regard to age*, disability, gender, race, religion or sexual orientation. Volunteers may be recruited through either an interest in specific duties or through a general interest in volunteering, which will later be matched with a specific function. *The minimum age requirement is 18 years of age.
