"My art is autobiographical. It explores memories of family, relationships, and ancestors. Using assorted collage materials including patterned fabric, quilts, textured papers, and photographs along with pencil and crayon drawing, I create one-of-a kind mixed media monotypes. In this way I empower memory, bring renewed meaning to slices of my life, and share these meaningful experiences." - Phyllis I. Thompson
