After 31 years of homeless destitution on the streets of Buffalo, 71 year-old John Ross, aka the Buffalo Kid, is feeling the pangs of hunger as the blistering wind shakes him to the core. Desperate for food, he stops a stranger and asks for some money. The man hands over $50 and walks away. Stunned by his generosity, the Buffalo Kid follows him and discovers that the stranger is not what he appears to be, and he soon finds himself engaged in a test of humanity, a bizarre and thrilling collaboration that will give him a second chance at life and challenge him in ways he never thought possible.
