An Eye for Collecting presented by the Burchfield Penney Art Center Advisory Council

This four part series explores the many facets of art collecting from the psychology of why we collect to the nuts and bolts of building and managing a personal collection. Panel discussions will include collectors, artists, museum staff and other professionals in the local art market.

Among the topics to be examined are:

• Acquisition of various types of works including photography, 3 dimensional works and prints, preservation and restoration, framing and insurance needs.
• Participants will have ample opportunity to engage with the speakers and learn how collecting can dramatically contribute to your life.
