Lecture / Discussion  |  Buffalo Spree presents Grow Your Own

Thursday, May 10, 2012, 6:30–9 pm

Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Auditorium

Urban residents throughout the US are growing their own vegetables, starting community gardens, using edible weeds, foraging for mushrooms, keeping chickens, harvesting rain, preserving food and becoming altogether more self-sufficient by taking advantage of this powerful urban (and some suburban) farming movement.

Join Buffalo Spree's panel of experts to discuss this growing and important movement:

Mark Stevens, Wilson Street Urban Farm
Daniel Ash, Cold Spring Cooperative Farm / Farmer Pirates
Diane Picard, Massachusetts Avenue Project
Joe George, Spree food writer, chef, and gardener
Caesandra Seawell,  Garden of Stewardship
