"A Long, Long Now" is a short film that explores what the future of technology may look like and how it could benefit us all. The film uses a blend of documentary and speculative fiction to examine our hopes and fears in relation to technology. The film is set in the year 2318 and a group of architects and archivists unearth a computer in the northern dry lake region of the Americas. On this ancient machine they find documentation from the year 2018 of people expressing their hopes for the future and these future folk do their best to put together what this ancient group of people may have wanted them to hear.
This event is free and open to the public.
