Special Event  |  Buffalo Night at The Museum Store

Presented by The Museum Store and Burchfield's Cafe

Thursday, December 13, 2012, 5–9 pm

Attention All Buffalo Boosters!! This is the night you have been waiting for…a chance to purchase Holiday gifts for anyone who loves the Queen City! The museum store is “Talking Proud” about their many unique and distinctive items that feature our great city.

Burchfield Penney director Tony Bannon will be signing copies of his book The Photo-Pictorialists of Buffalo.

Dr. Mark Donnelly is an artist, author and award-winning photographer who depicted Buffalo in his first book, The Fine Art of Capturing Buffalo and continued to portray our city through the lens of winter in Frozen Assets: The Beautiful Truth About Western New York’s Fourth Season. Mark will be signing his latest book, Statuesque Buffalo, which highlights the many and varied statues of the Buffalo area.

Bruce Verbeck will be showing his unique glass Buffalo plaques and light catchers while Karen Matchette will be featuring her pen and ink architectural drawings of Buffalo landmarks such as The Guarantee Building, Shea’s Theatre, The Saturn Club, the North Park Theatre and The H.H. Richardson Complex. Karen will also accept work on commission for any site you choose, even your own house.

Brian Nesline started “Faces of Buffalo” as a fundraiser and the popular community involvement event has led to the creation of beautiful mosaics representing the Buffalo community. Brian is also the source for the photo alphabet frames featuring prominent Buffalo sites, including the Burchfield Penney Art Center.

“Upcycled” products are the specialty of Monika Toney who utilizes vintage buttons as the decorations for her purses that feature designs of buffaloes.

Eugene Hegedus even promises to corral his herd of wooden buffaloes for our Buffalo Night event.
