After telling myself that this year was not the year for the Elevators picture, one afternoon a week or so ago after doing a bit of shopping, I thought I would go down to the spot to convince myself. The exact opposite happened however—my whole being rushed out to embrace the harbor—a soft breeze blowing up the slip—How can I, (I thought) keep from working on the picture. So now I am getting deep into it, and it is like a balm to my troubled spirit. I was bored with my little water-colors, and didn't know it.
