All day long on the Peterbird picture – Letter in the morning mail from F.R. [Frank Rehn] asking that I send the “December Light” as soon as possible to Montclair (N.J.) Museum, as they might buy it. As it had to have a new frame I was thrown off balance in regard to the Peterbird picture, until I discovered a frame in the studio with a two inch mat would fit the picture almost exactly. I decided to put the whole thing off until tomorrow so I could paint. The work went well –
